Watermelon and Strawberry Frosé

INGREDIENTS

  • 750ml rosé wine
  • 600g watermelon

For the strawberry syrup:

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 400g strawberries, chopped
  • Juice of half a lemon

METHOD

Pour your favourite rosé wine into a tray and allow to freeze overnight. Cut the watermelon into chunks and freeze overnight.

Make a strawberry syrup by dissolving the sugar in the water. Add the strawberries and lemon juice and simmer for 3-4 minutes, then allow to cool.

Once ready to serve, simply blend the frozen rosé and watermelon pieces with enough syrup to form a frosé. Pour into Le Creuset wine glasses and serve immediately.
